LINEA packaging design agency has been assigned with renewing the design of an original and authentic product: Le Baume de Bouteville is a handcrafted French balsamic, produced in Bouteville in the Cognac region, aged in oak barrels that previously contained regional eau-de-vie. While it strongly benefits from local manufacturing knowledge in the Spirits Valley, its production method is complex yet simple, it only uses the traditional French ingredients: grapes, oak and time. Time moves on, years go by, France is changing… A strong sense of nostalgia has influenced the design of this small flacon. A glass shape we borrowed from pharmacists, intemporal elements we integrated in different parts of the bottle (a white gastronomy seal, raw wood, old fashioned stamp-paper), a « post-war » typography and a visual architecture reminding of liquors from ancestral times. A smartly integrated pouring spout in the cork makes its use more accurate for its users: high-end chefs and home gourmets… Le Baume de Bouteville is not a vinegar, its a unique experience of French gastronomy!
